Research Intern, Observatory on Social Media (OSoMe), Indiana University (Aug 2024 - Present)

Assisting with research focused on addressing the disinformation crisis on social media platforms. Gaining hands-on experience in network analysis, data mining, and understanding the social implications of misinformation.

Contributing to projects under the guidance of Dr. Filippo Menczer, including data collection, processing, and analysis of social media data to help identify patterns in information spread and misinformation campaigns. A key project involves using Visual Large Language Models (VLLMs) to classify AI-generated faces, testing the ability to detect synthetic media as part of efforts to address misinformation and promote media transparency.
